Usually, severe common cold breaks out about 2 times in a year- once in winter and once in summer (pl remember your summer is the winter of the other hemisphere!). Sensing the onset of severe common cold! There appears to be two prominent ways of arrival of severe common cold as follows:- 1.STRAIGHT FORWARD WAY OF ARRIVAL OF SEVERE COMMON COLD: One may experience swelling of lower turbinate (lower turbinate is also known as inferior turbinate) with burning/itching sensation accompanied by excessive runny nose and sneezing sensation in one nasal cavity first, and later the problem shows up in the other nasal cavity. Subsequently, sore throat develops due to Post nasal dripping of inflammatory secretions. 2.TRICKIEST WAY OF ARRIVAL OF SEVERE COMMON COLD: The second and the most trickiest way of arrival of severe common cold is with the starting of throat irritation/itching and intermittent mild coughing. And later on one starts coughing intensively and almost continuously. This gives the impression that sore throat is the reason behind this, but do not get confused with this tricky way of arrival of severe common cold. The cough is caused because of post nasal dripping of the insignificantly small quantities of inflammatory secretions. Initially, the quantity of the inflammatory secretions generated due to viral infection at APNC area is very minute. And therefore, it will be difficult to understand that reason behind the coughing is due to post nasal dripping of inflammatory secretions. Coughing will stop when we insert Post Nasal Drip Blocking Device in both the nasal cavities. More about PND Blocking Device in the next web page. This post nasal dripping of inflammatory secretions will cause sore throat first and runny nose develops later. In addition to these two ways of arrival of severe common cold, one can also corroborate it by observing non-allergic people (normal people) around suffering from runny nose and excessive sneezing. Additional complications of severe common cold! The severe common cold apart from causing excessive runny nose and sneezing also causes:-
All these complications make one to experience complete exhaustion and very weak. About
90% relief from: When a person notices any of the above two ways of arrival of severe common cold, he should increase the frequency of regular CWT to about 20 times a day as in the case of milder common colds. This will reduce runny nose by about 90% and reduces the sneezes to 3 to 5 per day against 30 to 50 during common cold. EXCEPTIONAL CASE: Some people with over sensitive nerves in the nose (usually allergic/chain sneezing people) may still continue to have abnormal runny nose and sneezes. COLDWATER PLUS TREATMENT- HOT CHILLI explained in the topic below gives the much needed relief from the abnormal sneezing and runny nose due to severe common cold.
Occasional Cold Water Plus Treatment- Hot Chilli! CAPSAICIN present in the hot chilli is anesthetic in character. A diluted solution of chilli when applied to APNC area causes numbness of the area containing sensory nerves responsible for triggering sneezes and thus reduces abnormal sneezing.
CAPSAICIN also appears to kill/inactivate viruses instantly and reduces the inflammation of lower turbinates and APNC area; this is because CAPSAICIN may destroy/ damage the outer protective covering of common cold viruses. This conclusion is based on my experiments of several years.
We have to dilute capsaicin present in the hot chilli by water. I have explained the method of preparation of diluted solution of capsaicin suitable for CWPT in the following topic below. Anterior portion of the nasal cavity (APNC) is the most favourite spot for the common cold viruses, where they latch on to the receptors of epithelial cells of APNC and multiply. This invokes the powerful inflammatory reaction by immune system and causes the runny nose. More about APNC in the web page: "Causes of runny nose". Preparation
Of The:
Method of administration of CWPT CWPT is to be used very occasionally and 2 to 4 times in a day for 2 to 3 days only. Both nasal cavities should be treated even though, problem starts in only one nasal cavity first. Each nasal cavity should be treated twice in each treatment in order to ensure the proper reach of the solution to the target. On day No.1, when symptoms of severe common cold do not go even with the increased frequency of CWT, CWPT should be performed as explained in the above paragraph (twice for each nasal cavity- each time). Even after this, if the symptoms of sneezing/ itching persist, CWPT should be repeated again after 30 minutes or 1 hour. One has to perform CWPT for another 2 to 3 times, whenever the symptoms are uncontrollable. On day No.2 & 3, CWPT should be performed 2 to 4 times a day as required. IMP NOTE: One has to follow increased CWT frequency along with CWPT. CWT frequency may need to be around 20 times for 3 to 4 days. After the runny nose subsides, one can reduce the frequency of CWT. Dealing with other complications Severe common cold creates other complications like: swollen turbinates, frequent thick mucus secretions, sore throat, fever, muscular and joints pain, and general weakness. Since runny nose is minimised to around 90%by CWT, the severity of these secondary complications, will be less than 50%.
Persisting Swollen Turbinate Causing Nasal Congestion/Breathing Problem: Breathing problem/nasal congestion, due to swollen turbinate gets resolved by CWPT. Frequent Thick Mucus Secretions:- CWT and CWPT-Hot Chilli will enable the people to free themselves from the sufferings of frequent thick mucus secretions. Dealing with fever, muscular and joints pain:- One should take medicines as advised by the family doctor to overcome this problem. Prevention Of Sore Throat:- Inflammatory secretions generate in APNC area during viral infection. Sore throat is caused due to post nasal dripping of inflammatory secretions. Post Nasal Drip Blocking Device is very effective in preventing the development of sore throat.
